The last day of the Pentecostalarion is the commemoration of All Saints, which is a reminder of the significance of cycle of the Triodion, and is the fruition of repentance, the Resurrection, the descent of the Holy Spirit, the flowering of sanctity in the Church of Christ
On this day, we had the joy of the ordination to the priesthood of Fr. Hierodeacon Constantine, who after practicing in the monastery, will be sent back home to Jamaica, to start his mission among his people, to bring them the light of Christ’s true Church. Fr. Constantine was ordained to the priesthood by His Grace Bishop Luke during the liturgy. May the Lord help Fr. Hieromonk Constantine in his new obedience.
This Sunday coincided with the graduation ceremonies of the Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary. For this occasion, the monastery had the pleasure of hosting His Grace Bishop Gerasim of Fort Worth, Texas, of the OCA diocese of the south. Vladyka was invited to be the main speaker at the graduation ceremony. He concelebrated with our abbot, His Grace Bishop Luke and nourished us spiritually with his memories of Fr. Seraphim Rose, with whom he lived in monasticism.
