100 years has passed since the repose of the New Holy Confessor Patriarch Tikhon of Moscow and All Russia. St. Tikhon was a visionary leader who implemented the concept of the All-American Council and guided the Church both in the New World and later, amid persecution in Soviet Russia. In 1917, he became the first patriarch in nearly 200 years and was soon faced with the task of charting a path for a Church stripped of all legal rights under an atheist regime. We are pleased to host this lecture, delivered as part of a ROCOR celebration of this anniversary, by our own Protodeacon Andrei Psarev, Professor, department of Theology, Patrology, and Canon Law.
