Lazarus Saturday
Lazarus Saturday is a joyous feast leading into Holy Week. This year it was even more special as after the matins service, Novice David (Wood) was tonsured a rassophore monk by our abbot, Bishop Luke. May the Lord assist him on his path to monasticism.
It is also traditional after breakfast, following Liturgy, that the palms and pussy willow are prepared for distribution during the evening vigil for Palm Sunday. All participate – monastics, seminarians, parishioners, and pilgrims.
