The fall 2017 Eastern American Diocesan clergy conference was held in the Holy Trinity Monastery from October 23-26. The Hawaiian Myrrh-streaming icon of the Most Holy Theotokos was present from October 26 through the weekend, when the annual pilgrimage from Washington, D.C. took place.
On the one hand, this was a wonderful opportunity for the seminarians, who actively participated in the conference, to have contact with many of the over 50 priests who attended the conference, but also for the attendees themselves to be able to gather in brotherly interaction in the prayerful atmosphere of the monastery. The delegates were able to attend the usual monastic services and ultimately to partake in the festive hierarchal liturgy on the feast of the Iveron Icon of the Mother of God on October 26, which was presided by our primate, Metropolitan Hilarion, and concelebrated by Metropolitan Jonah and Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan and around 65 priests and deacons.
