Graduation at Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary

The Holy Trinity Orthodox Seminary is an integral part of the life of the Holy Trinity Monastery.  The seminarians participate in the life of the monastery, in its services as well as in all other aspects of monastery life.  Likewise, the monastics participate in many ways in the life of the seminary.

Thus, Graduation is celebrated by all in our community, since is plays such an important role in the life of the community as a whole.

During the liturgy on the day, Sunday, when the Holy Church commemorates the fathers of the First Ecumenical Council, Vladyka tonsured Seminarian Jorge Luque-Martin, from Spain, to be a reader.  Jorge has overcome many struggles of a physical nature, to obtain this goal in his life.  May the Lord bless and encourage him and his wife, Stephanida.

The moleben of Thanksgiving for the end of the school year was celebrated by Vladyka and seminary and monastery clergy in the cathedral after a formal procession.  After a general photograph, the clergy and students proceeded to the seminary hall for the graduation ceremony.  A reception was held after the program in which participated many friends and family of the graduates and of the seminary.

More information can be found on the seminary website (www.hts.edu).
