On September 10, 2017, the brethren of the Holy Trinity Monastery celebrated the feast of the Opening of the Relics of St. Job of Pochaev (August 28 O.S.). As in a previous posting was described the Labor Day Weekend festivities in honor of St. Job, the brethren in a perhaps more intimate way, commemorated their heavenly protector. As is peculiar to this feast, since the basement church of the Holy Trinity Monastery cathedral is dedicated to the memory of St. Job, the services were conducted there.

At then end of the Divine Liturgy, a moleben was served for intercession to St. Job with a procession around the cathedral. This is also the Name’s day of our eldest monk, Archimandrite Job, who for many years tirelessly headed up the monastery’s dairy operation.

We ask St. Job’s intercession before the throne of God, so that we may continue in his spirit, to propagate the truths of holy Orthodoxy in an environment more and more hostile to the teachings of Christ. While St. Job struggled against the influence of uniatism in the Church and its falsehood, today we are called upon to fight against all manner of heresies and the wittling away of the true Christian world outlook.
