On December 6/19, the Church celebrates the memory of one of the most beloved saints of the Orthodox Church. He is particularly venerated in Russia, where all pious families have at least three icons in their icon corners, one of the Saviour, one of the Mother of God, and another of St. Nicholas. To this day, by means of countless miracles, St. Nicholas continues to intervene before God for the Russian people.
As usual, in the monastery, the All-Night Vigil was served, and on the feast itself, Vladyka Luke served the Divine Liturgy together with the monastery clergy. During the Hours, Vladyka tonsured the seminarian, Andrei Slivin, a reader, the first step of the priesthood. Andrei also acts as our photographer. May the Lord help him in his path to the priesthood.
